Quetzalcoatl emerges from the open jaws of the Feathered Serpent, whose body is covered in vibrant plumage and ends with the magnificent tail feathers of the quetzal bird. He is surrounded by glyphs and symbols connected to his identity, influence, and enduring legacy.
In this piece, I combine the visual language of ancient Mexica art with my signature painting technique, which resembles falling confetti. The vivid colors, layered brushstrokes, and symbolic imagery create a festive contemporary interpretation that honors the history, spirituality, and artistic traditions of ancient Mexico.
